This presentation discusses a solution we have developed at Pfizer to enable any user to do data mining using data from systems scattered across the company. In effect, we are making every employee a Data Scientist. The talk will focus on the business challenges and the value our solution offers. The solution uses a combination of relational database technology, semantic technologies, and a big data (Hadoop) platform.

Vijay has over ten years of experience in development and deployment of IT infrastructure and applications with sustained focus on project/program management, innovation, process improvement and IT governance. He is currently the Business Integration Program Manager in the Development & Medical Informatics organization at Pfizer. His current role is focused on developing a Knowledge Management (KM) strategy for the WorldWide Pharmaceutical Sciences (WWPS) business group. He also has responsibility for the delivery and uptake of global Analytical applications such as LIMS, Electronic Lab Notebook and Chromatography Data Systems (CDS). Prior to joining Pfizer, he held senior level positions with several global software services companies where he was involved in structuring global application outsourcing contracts and managing large scale global implementations and rollouts.
