Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is a Fortune 500 financial services organization. Like most large enterprises, Thrivent had a robust process of data integration, Data Warehouse and operational Business Intelligence.

As part of BI evolution and to avoid information proliferation, Thrivent implemented a "Package of Analysis" to make for easier information consumption, timely actions and effective decision making.

The implementation of "Actionable Analytics" contains the following components:

  • High level summary information presented as visualizations to help focus on the key drivers
  • Visualizations included trends, rankings and filters for ease of Analysis.
  • Users can drill into reports from a selected segment to get additional supporting details.
  • The Package of Analysis made available on mobile for field users on the go.

This process was implemented in a methodical way, by evaluating candidates to prove the concept and using the selected projects for implementation.

Corporate goals/KPIs were implemented to be "Package of Analysis" and to be "mobile" to help the executive team to consume information consistently, easily and on the go.

Field organization was equipped with Actionable Analytics on Mobile, resulting in improved productivity and having access to information when needed.
