The DAMA-DMBOK2 is a collection of knowledge within the data management profession. It is being updated to reflect industry changes in data management.

This body of knowledge has been defined by data management professionals who execute the knowledge areas and their associated activities in their daily work roles.

This discussion covers:

Deborah Henderson, C.D.M.P., P.M.P, is President of DAHenderson Consulting and Program Director at DAMA International for the DAMA-DMBOK and specializing in Data Governance design and implementation in her practice.

Patricia Cupoli has an extensive background in the areas of Data Governance, Data Warehousing, Metadata Solutions and Repositories, Enterprise Architecture and Modeling (business process and data) for Business Re-engineering, Project Management, IT Strategic Planning, Online ICCP Course Development & Educator, and Librarianship / Information Science. She currently teaches online ICCP CDMP courses. She has presented at many DAMA and TDWI conferences, and has published professionally. Pat is the 2006 winner of the DAMA International Professional Award. Pat is the DAMA International ICCP Director, Project Manager for Data Exam Development, DAMA Education Committee member, past ICCP Board President, and a past president of DAMA International, DAMA Chicago, and DAMA Philadelphia / Delaware Valley. She is the DMBOK2 Editor and was an author contributor for two DMBOK chapters: Documents and Content Management, and Professional Development.

Susan Earley has spent the last 20 years working in data management in various ways, starting with application development, data warehouse development and management, data modeling, and into data architecture. She was the Assistant Editor for the DAMA-DMBOK released in 2009, and the editor for the 2011 edition of the DAMA Dictionary of Data Management.

Sanjay Shirude is a practitioner, consultant, and educator in the field of Business Information Technology Integration. He brings a simplified and balanced perspective to the integration of business and technology that has been refined through a career of more than twenty five years, encompassing both business leadership and technical roles. Sanjay now focuses on management strategies, systems integration, best practices and training as keys to simplifying Business Information Technology Integration. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Management.
